Terms and Conditions

PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BELOW CAREFULLY – BY ACCEPTING A QUOTATION FROM NS DECORATORS YOU ARE ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT WITH US AND AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

‘We’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ means NS Decorators. ‘You’, ‘the client’, ‘the customer’, ‘your’ means the person who requested our services and enters into this contract.

The Quote

Unless otherwise stated, the quotation is valid for 30 days from date of production. After this time, a small increase may accrue. The price is based on the information given by the customer at the time of pricing the work or any plans provided. Any changes to this information or plans may change the price.

Client Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of the client to remove valuable and/or fragile items from the areas to be decorated, to remove pictures and other items hanging from the wall, remove electrical goods from the areas where works will be carried out and to ensure the room is clear of furniture where reasonable to do so.

Assistance can be provided with the repositioning and/or removal of bulky furniture items and goods. We reserve the right to decline to move goods if the condition is at risk of damage to the equipment or the property. We reserve the right to decline to move particularly heavy or bulky items if they present a higher than accepted health and safety risk. Where items cannot be covered or protected, but could easily have been removed, we will request that they are removed before work commences. We cannot be held liable for damage to any items if they are not removed.

Electric, Water and Storage

The customer will be expected to provide electric power, running water and toilet facilities where reasonably possible. We may request that tools and materials can be left at the home / site during the works. The customer reserves the right to decline such a request.

Materials

All materials needed to undertake the work that has been agreed will be provided by us, unless otherwise agreed. We ensure that all the materials used will be of the highest trade quality so that the work can be completed to the highest standard. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the performance and quality of materials provided by you.

The quote is based on materials agreed at the time of pricing, if you change your mind regarding quality or finish, material prices will change accordingly. Also if you decide to have a feature wall/walls after the quotation has been provided this will incur extra labour and material costs.

Radiators

We do not have insurance to remove radiators for decorating. If we cannot safely move around radiators then you will need to contact a plumber to have radiators removed in advance of our arrival.

Cancellation Of Works

In the event of you the client cancelling the planned works you agree to notify NS Decorators by phone or email 14 days before the project start date. Cancellations 14 days or less before the start date may incur a charge of up to a 50% of the total value of the works. Postponing the works for up to 3 months will not incur any additional costs. If for any reason we are required to postpone the works, we will inform the customer as soon as possible.

Payments And Deposits

On projects under £3000 no deposits are required. On projects over this amount a 10% deposit may be required.

An interim payment may be requested part of the way into the works. Full payment of the invoice must be paid by the customer within 2 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. If a payment has not been made within 14 days, the outstanding invoice will be passed onto a debt recovery company, where further charges will apply.

Payments can be made by BACS to the account details found on the bottom of the invoice, or account details can be given upon request. Unfortunately we are unable to accept cheques.

Our Promise To The Customer

All works will be completed to the highest standard. That we do everything we can to ensure a smooth running of the project with as little disruption as possible. That we complete the works within the agreed timescale unless we encounter any issues. If we discover any issues that were not covered in the quote we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the possible options and extra costs. Your property will be left clean and tidy once all work is completed.
